Swimming has been a big part of my life since third grade. I swam at Marinole Swim Club and Beavercreek YMCA as a kid, and then for Bellbrook High School as a teen. I then went on to swim varsity for three years at Knox College in Illinois. After I finished college, I moved to Ecuador and lost touch with the swim team part of my life. After living there for nearly eight years, I moved back to Ohio and am happy to report that I also got back into the swim team world, now as a coach!
This is my second season with the Sea Dogs and my fourth summer coaching. I have also coached for Bellbrook High School the past three winters. Additionally, I have been building my technical coaching knowledge by joining the Dayton Raiders, where I assist with the Red Jr. (12 & under), White (8 & under), and Raider Prep groups. I have learned a lot and am so excited to bring these experiences to the Sea Dogs this summer.
My hope for this season is to see every swimmer have fun and push themselves, work hard at practice, improve technically and drop time and, most of all, be supportive and encouraging teammates to each other.
I am looking forward to another fun and rewarding season with the Sea Dogs!
This is my second year assistant coaching for the Sea Dogs, and I’m so excited to be back for another season! I graduated from Bellbrook High School, where I served as a varsity swimmer and team captain. Swimming has been a huge part of my life, and I’m incredibly grateful to continue coaching alongside my former coach, Kathleen!
My goal this season is to help every swimmer grow in confidence and develop a lasting love for the sport. I want practices to be a place where swimmers are challenged, supported, and, most importantly, having fun.
I’m looking forward to another summer full of hard work, team spirit, and a lot of fun. Go Sea Dogs!
